The Chat Network :: Lesson 1This is an introductory tutorial on topics concerning the Chat Network.
Lesson 1
So, you've created your first chatroom and you're a bit confused on how it all works?  These two lessons will attempt to take some of the mystery out of using and managing your chatroom.
Note that most of the commands mentioned in this article can be done by accessing your Chatroom Settings (a link to this is located in the bottom right of your chat screen).  Most people prefer to use the commands though since not everything can be done by using the Chatroom Settings, and for the most part you can do things faster and easier by using the command.
First Steps
When you first create your chatroom you'll notice that you are put into the "Guests" privclass.  The first thing you should do is to type this command in the text box where you normally type:
/promote username Founders
Where "username" is your deviant username.

The Chat Network :: Lesson 2Lesson 2
After creating your chatroom you probably want to customize and personalize it.
In this lesson we'll we walking through an example of customizing a chatroom and looking at some common strategies in setting up your privclasses and privileges. The hypothetical chatroom I've created is called #Oreos and is a chatroom for everyone who loves eating tasty Oreos!
Remember that in order to modify privileges or privclasses you either need to be in a privclass with the +admin privilege, or you must the original creator of the chatroom.
Renaming Privclasses
As we saw in the last lesson, the default privclasses when you first create a chatroom are: Founders, Operators, Members, Guests, and Banned.
These names don't describe tasty oreos though so let's rename them. The /admin rename privclass OldName to NewName command will change the name of a privclass:
/admin rename pr

Besides you're Belgian.. you people have one of the best scores in the world. The Belgian school system is regarded as an example for almost everything. Even if you're super stupid you should be smarter than most here.

our school system is one of the best and most effective (that is what the normal me says) but when im at school all i can say is "our school system is the m*therf*cking worst eva!"

but i DO think our English classes are way to basic... we should ditch those stupid French speaking parasites and Germans

we are a country that has 3 languages... but strange enough we all have to learn 4; Dutch, French, German and English.

What's wrong with languages? It is scientifically proven that it expands the possibilities of your speech and the complexity of your thoughts.. which is basically an intelligence boost. With foreign languages you are an official citizen of this world. You are no longer limited by the boarders you were born in and much more information is at your hand. You can get much more out of life. Imagine it with those 4 languages you can communicate with 2,5 billion people. You can read books in their originals.. watch movies without having to read subtitles or hear other people speak.. and you can understand the complexity and sensitivity of Europe much better than the people who don't speak those other languages.

And I believe it is very positive that you learn the languages of your neighboring countries. That just brings everybody closer. I gotta tell you.. I've been around in Europe and I sincerely believe that together with the Netherlands and the Ruhr Area in Germany it is the heart of Europe. It is a great place with the best people I've ever met. I have no explanation about why this is so.. but I hope it stays the same.. and all the other states can take an example.. not only in education
