I've stopped taking entries as the deadline has passed... thanks to all who contributed... it will be a few days until I can merge all the iimages and announce the winners.... I received just over 400 entries!

Introduction
For the past 5 years our very own $Moonbeam13 has been involved in supporting and raising money for The Weekend To End Breast Cancer event in Toronto.
She has done this in a fairly quiet and discreet way so we felt it was time to shed a bit more light on what exactly she does for this great cause. Please go read this news article for more information!
The Pink Quilt Contest
The idea for this contest is to end up with a giant Pink Quilt made up of individual Quilt Squares submitted by Pink Loving Deviants like You. This is a community project to raise awareness for The Weekend to End Breast Cancer.
Among women worldwide, breast cancer is the most common cancer and one of the most common causes of cancer death.
The Quilt Squares will be judged and prizes awarded. Keep in mind that the theme of this quilt is Awareness of Breast Cancer.
Do you know someone who has had Breast Cancer? Maybe your Quilt Square will celebrate that person and their fight. Even if you personally don't know someone who has struggled with this, I'm sure you have something to say about it... after all, for most people at some point in their life it will touch you in some way.
PRIZES
- First Prize: a deviantWEAR T-shirt plus a 3 month subscription!
- Second Prize: 6 month subscription!
- Third Prize: 3 month subscription!
RULES:
- The submitted deviation entry MUST be a 400x400 pixel square image.
- ALL ART FORMS will be accepted (including literature).
- Your square should be pink-based - it's a Pink Quilt afterall! (You can use other colors of course, but please try to use pink hues for the majority).
- Submit your entry to dA (in an appropriate category for the art form - or use scraps), and then REPLY TO THIS JOURNAL with a LINK to your deviation.
- The contest will run for approximately a week, tentatively ending on September 10'th.
At the end of the contest, the individual squares will be stitched together and the final quilt presented for all to see.
IMPORTANT
- Please walk, jog, or run to this web page, make a donation, and help bring a huge smile to $Moonbeam13's face... but more importantly do your part to end Breast Cancer.
