These two lessons will attempt to take some of the mystery out of using and managing your chatroom.Note that most of the commands mentioned in this article can be done by accessing your Chatroom Settings (a link to this is located in the bottom right of your chat screen). Most people prefer to use the commands though since not everything can be done by using the Chatroom Settings, and for the most part you can do things faster and easier by using the command.First StepsWhen you first create your chatroom you'll notice that you are put into the "Guests" privclass. The first thing you should do is to type this command in the text box where you normally type:/promote username FoundersWhere "username" is your deviant username.

In this lesson we'll we walking through an example of customizing a chatroom and looking at some common strategies in setting up your privclasses and privileges. The hypothetical chatroom I've created is called #Oreos and is a chatroom for everyone who loves eating tasty Oreos!Remember that in order to modify privileges or privclasses you either need to be in a privclass with the +admin privilege, or you must the original creator of the chatroom.Renaming PrivclassesAs we saw in the last lesson, the default privclasses when you first create a chatroom are: Founders, Operators, Members, Guests, and Banned.These names don't describe tasty oreos though so let's rename them.
